FAD-GDH – Ideal for biosensors which require higher sensitivity

To complement our existing market leading range of Glucose Oxidase (GO) enzymes for blood glucose monitoring, used in over 5 billion test strips every year, we are pleased to announce that VBT is launching an FAD dependent Glucose Dehydrogenase (FAD-GDH).

In keeping with changing market trends and new technologies, VBT recognises the importance of the role of novel recombinant enzymes in the marketplace. One such key recombinant enzyme is FAD dependent Glucose Dehydrogenase (FAD-GDH), which catalyses the oxidation of glucose in the presence of an electron acceptor, such as 2,6-dichlorophenolindophenol or potassium ferricyanide.
